Arcane Roots Return New Music + Live Performances at 2000Trees & ArcTanGent Festivals

After an eight-year hiatus, Arcane Roots have returned to the music scene, unleashing their first new single, “A Wave, Across The Sea,” today, January 27. The six-minute track marks a significant milestone for the band and showcases the dynamic sound that fans fell in love with. It is their first new music since 2018 and is released through Big Scary Monsters (BSM).

The single was an exclusive, world premier and Track Of The Week with the Radio 1 Rock Show last night (January 26th), which you can listen back to - HERE

The band, now a five-piece with the return of founding member Daryl Atkins alongside Icelandic composer Bjarni Biering, is gearing up for an exciting summer. They are set to make their live comeback at two significant festivals: 2000Trees and ArcTanGent in July and August 2026, respectively. Both festivals hold a special place in the hearts of the band members.

Frontman Andrew Groves expressed the sentiment behind the chosen venues: “If you were going to ask me where I would want to present such a pivotal event in our lives, 2000 Trees & ATG would be the immediate retort. They have always served as both a source of raucous celebration and a loving home away from home for us.” This sense of belonging and community is sure to electrify their performances, which are renowned for their blend of delicate melodies and explosive climaxes.

At 2000Trees, Arcane Roots will take the stage as part of a two-set performance on July 10 and 11, headlining the Axiom stage on the first night and delivering an intimate second set on the Forest stage the following day. Both shows promise to be an experience unlike any other, as the band revives their dynamic live act that has captivated audiences in the past. Fans of Arcane Roots can look forward to an exhilarating 2026 filled with live shows, new music, and surprises.
